Over at least the last 10 years, the phrase “Deep State” has been used to batter and malign the Federal Bureaucracy. It refers to a conspiracy theory that claims that a network of government bureaucrats is secretly manipulating the federal government for their ideological gains. This is especially prevalent in the FBI and CIA according to the theory but also transcends the federal government and connects to financial and industrial entities throughout the country. This is an attempt by right wing extremists to find a bogeyman in government and rail against the direction that this alleged “Deep State” is taking the country. If this were true, there would be a much greater push back against the Musk/Trump attempts to tear the Federal Government apart. Surely, this much maligned and sometimes feared “Deep State” would defend itself from the onslaught of Musk and Trump. Instead, despite institutions like the FBI and CIA being armed and well-trained units of the so-called “Deep State”, there has been little pushback. As to the financial and industrial groups that are supposedly aligned with this imaginary conspiracy, there doesn’t appear to be a peep from them. Why is this the case? The answer is simple. There is no “Deep State”, there never has been, but there is one planned for the future. That plan is spelled out in Project 2025.
The Republican plan called Project 2025, proposes the replacement of bureaucrats currently serving in the Federal Government with people that are loyal to Trump and his Administration. Loyalty appears to be the most important qualification for the new personnel, experience not so important. This is the “Deep State” that they want to set up in this Country. It will be an ideologically, committed, ruthless organization that will suppress all dissent, eliminate opposition and jail anyone who attempts to interfere. Once embedded in the Federal Government, it will be nearly impossible to root out. It will be prone to graft, fraud and corruption as it services the ruling autocracy and creates inroads for the oligarchs to loot the federal government. Services to the many will be cut. Services to the rich will be enhanced. As the rich get richer, the average American will be crushed by low wages, fewer benefits, higher taxes, higher inflation and a wrecked economy that works only for the wealthy. Nothing will be off limits, Veterans will get less, Medicaid will mostly disappear, Medicare will be more costly and cover less, and Social Security will be looted and reduced. Project 2025 only speaks to what they want for themselves not what they want for all of us. With Musk at the switch, he can cut off power, cut off payments, cut off salaries, cut off services, close airports, close schools, close colleges, close hospitals, close local government, shut down food processing and distribution, shut down news broadcasts, shutter newspapers, and totally control the citizens of America. Those controls are or will soon be in the hands of people that will be at the beck and call of the Trump Administration. Trump has already stated that if he won in 2024, that you would not have to ever vote again. Is that because you won’t be able to vote?
Under the current Administration, there will be a “Deep State” and it will be powerful, it will be connected to all the power it needs to rule. It will be subject to an Executive Branch that rules with unbending authority. It will break down the courts and ignore Congress and eventually run that body for its benefit. It will control the Treasury, the Department of Justice, the FBI, CIA, NSA. It will move on to hobble and eliminate the free press. Total control is their goal.
It’s time to stand up! Speak up! And resist this power grab and reestablish the people as the sovereigns of the United States of America.
