It is Monday again. Last week we had our petition signing events as scheduled. The Punxsutawney event was well attended with over 50 signatures collected. I thank everyone who took the time to participate. I was pleasantly surprised by the State and National party officials who were present starting with Ken Martin, Vice Chair of the DNC, who Hails from Minnesota. Attending from the PA. State Democratic Party was Chairman Sen. Sharif Street, Executive Director Mitch Kates, and Rural Coordinator Diane Gregg. From county government, Jefferson County Commissioner Jeff Pisarcik and Clarion County Commissioner Braxton White attended. Braxton is running for Delegate to the National Convention. Finally, Eugene DePasquale, Candidate for Attorney General, and Zach Womer, Candidate for PA 15th Congressional District, made themselves available for questions and conversation.
More voters should take advantage of these opportunities to meet, greet, and support our candidates that we work very hard to promote. Some will say that we are just a small rural county, and no one cares about what we think, say or need. When we are afforded the opportunity to change that and make our voices heard, we must take advantage of that.
I feel I must address the report from the Biden classified document investigation. The report stated that President Biden was not criminally liable and could not be prosecuted, and then spent a lot of words saying that maybe he should be, because he was only saved by the bad memory of a feeble old man. The feeble memory comments are nothing more than a personal attack and are inappropriate. “I do not recall” is a common mantra of Republicans involved in investigations, and nothing is ever said. The key for all of us is to realize the false equivalency being promoted here. To equalize liability of Joe Biden’s documents with Donald Trump’s documents is like saying that Joe Biden shoplifting a $1.00 candy bar is the same as Donald Trump doing an armed robbery for $1,000,000. Just another example of Republican led investigations not having evidence and twisting themselves into knots trying to make something appear to be what it is not.

Donations Needed and Accepted
The Jefferson County Democratic Committee (JeffDems) is funded through donations (we do not get funding from the state). We rely on the generosity of local Democrats to enable all of our initiatives and hopefully, in August – November, an Office/HQ to function as “JeffDems Central” before the critical Fall Election. Please make it one of your New Year’s resolutions, to start a monthly recurring donation to JeffDems, large or small, using the ActBlue link below, or of course, one-time donation checks are welcome! Contribute so that your county committee can do more on your behalf. Thank you!
