It’s Monday and it sorta seems like a new world out there. I never expected the Trump Trial to resolve itself so quickly in the way it did, guilty on all 34 counts! Each of which carries a maximum penalty of four years in prison and fines. It is most likely he will serve any penalties concurrently, which means all at once. It is also most likely that his penalties will be suspended to probation, which means that he has to be a good boy. However, I think that will be impossible for the Orange Big Mouth to accomplish, and then what?
The spin machine will tell you that he got convicted for paying off a porn star for sex that he may or may not have had. That is untrue! He got convicted for concealing such actions from the voting public in the run up to an election in a fraudulent manner. The jury was picked from a random pool with input from his own lawyers. The witnesses were by and large his own people, and that includes Michael Cohen. Try not to scream gotcha comments at MAGA, it will not penetrate the wall. Just quietly state the truth and walk away.
What we need to do is promote our excellent candidates, William McGill, who is running in the PA Senate 25, challenging Chris Dush, and Zach Womer, who is running in the PA15 House district, challenging G.T. Thompson. Both these incumbents deserve being challenged and have enough skeletons in their closets to choke a Dinosaur! They both are fond of taking credit for money entering the district that they voted against. Simply put, we can win, we must win. Democratic turnout must exceed 70 percent. All it takes is for everyone to vote by mail or show up at the polls.
We are gearing up for our festival in the park and opening our office. All volunteers and all dollars are welcome. It is your Democratic Party, please help make it work.
High School Grads – Register to Vote! Congratulations to all the recent grads out there, who may be your sons or daughters, grandsons or granddaughters, nieces, nephews, etc. Please encourage them to register to vote by going to vote.pa.gov. If they turn 18, on or before 11/5/24, they are eligible to register, receive their Voter Registration Card, and to VOTE IN THE GENERAL ELECTION this fall, either by-mail or in-person at the polls on Nov 5th.
Participate, Donate, Vote.

Donations Needed and Accepted
The Jefferson County Democratic Committee (JeffDems) is funded through donations (we do not get funding from the state). We rely on the generosity of local Democrats to enable all our initiatives, including an Office/HQ to function as “JeffDems Central” before the critical Fall Election. Please start a monthly recurring donation to JeffDems, large or small, using the ActBlue link below, or of course, one-time donation checks are welcome! Contribute so that your County Committee can do more on your behalf. Thank you!
